How Doctors on Demand Works
When a patient calls Doctors on Demand, we determine which state the patient is calling from. We then route the patient’s call to a physician in the caller’s state. During the call, the patient and doctor discuss concerns, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments. If the patient needs prescription medication, the physician calls the prescription into the patient’s local pharmacy (supplied by the patient during the phone call).
This phone-based healthcare system greatly reduces the number of patient visits to primary care physicians and emergency rooms, making it an efficient and cost-effective benefit to employees. Helping your employees avoid the wasted time involved in seeing doctors in person results in higher productivity for your company. Plus, studies have shown that patients are often more satisfied with the care they receive during phone-based visits when compared to in-person visits due to the time savings and quality of care they receive during these calls.
